About Summerstage

FINDING NEMO – Grades 1-8

Take the EAC this summer to the coral reefs where Nemo and the gang spend their days in the big blue world. This heart-warming story about growing up and letting go combines all your favorite characters with new songs by the writers of FROZEN. Students will bring this show to life through movement and puppetry (and you may even learn to speak Whale!) Spaces are limited, so just keep swimming, and register today!

THE LION KING – Grades 1-6

Out on the African savanna, a young cub can’t wait to be king. But before that day arrives, he has a lot of growing up to do. This musical production of THE LION KING will highlight all of the moments that make the film so endearing. Students will learn the true meaning of ensemble theatre, as the whole cast tells the story of Simba and the important lessons his story teaches us. Spaces are limited, so don’t say Hakuna Matata and miss out on signing up today!

CABARET – Grades 9-12

Wilkomen! Bienvenue! Welcome! To Cabaret: our summer show for older students. Set in the seedy underbelly of Berlin in the Kit Kat Klub at the end of the 1930’s, the musical pits the salacious narratives of the club’s inhabitants against the looming political events with the rise of Nazism. Our summer stage show has often given our older actors a chance to interact with material that tackles tough subjects to expand their understanding of the world and challenge their performance abilities. Spaces are limited, so don’t find yourself saying, “Maybe this time…” and miss out on this show.

Synopsis

When the cyclone finally drops her house, Dorothy Gale finds herself in the Land of Oz, where scarecrows dance, tin men sing and lions are scared of…everything. But through the help of her friends and a particularly ruby pair of slippers, Dorothy finds that there truly is no place like home.
