A New Stage

Introducing OAA Commercial Theatre Wing — Launching Fall 2025

At Open Arts Alliance, we believe that theatre transforms lives: mentoring students, uplifting seniors, and creating community. In Fall 2025, we’re taking that mission further with the formation of a new Commercial Theatre Wing: a bridge from our non‑profit roots to commercial stage productions. After 11 great years as the Founding Executive Director, Rocco Natale, will become the Artistic Director of both the non-profit and commercial wing.

Our Three Pillars

By offering exceptional theatre productions, which meet national and state standard arts curriculum, Open Arts Alliance offers students a positive experience in a safe environment while providing value-led education which may not otherwise be accessible.

  1. Incubate and produce commercial theatre: This venture will allow OAA to partner with Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional productions—as investors, producers and sponsors- through developmental labs, workshops, and targeted grants.

  2. Engage emerging career alumni: We know children grow up—but staying connected still matters. After a decade of educating students, many OAA alumni are now launching their careers. Through advisory board roles, they can continue the tradition of our Leadership Council by initiating or supporting projects that promote lifelong learning. This extends our vision of the successful graduate while providing alumni with a vital network of peers and resources at a pivotal stage in their professional journey. Why? Because no matter what field they chose to pursue, theatre remains a vital part of life for our students.

  3. Build sustainable revenue to fuel our nonprofit’s mission: Sustainability in arts education means nurturing creativity and ensuring equitable access—while also building a financial foundation that allows both learning and artistic expression to flourish long-term. Revenue from box office sales, sponsorships, and grants will be reinvested directly into programs like youth scholarships, senior engagement, and community outreach. This entrepreneurial model ensures that commercial success supports continued access to signature OAA offerings such as Yes, And… ImprovBroadway By The Year, and The Spring Follies.

OAA’s success has always been measured not just by productions—but by people.

The Commercial Wing is a natural next step for:
