Expectations of a Leadership Council Member
- Students approach issues from a place of awareness and productivity and convey questions and thoughts with a tone of professionalism.
- Students come to LC meetings prepared to discuss the events on the agenda and follow up with action items in a timely fashion.
- Attendance is mandatory at all meetings – only one excused absence is allowed.
- Students are expected to be role models for new and younger OAA members as well as to remember that other students are watching them and looking to them for leadership.
- Students are expected to remember that the Leadership Council is a safe space. Feedback that is kind and constructive is welcome, however, our differences reflect the fact that our ages, genders, backgrounds, etc. are different, and that needs to be respected.
