About Summerstage!

At OAA Summerstage is a unique opportunity for students to participate performing arts training. OAA’s signature, supportive environment, nurtures aspiring performers with an emphasis on personal growth.

Encompassing over 50 hours of performing arts training, including choreography, music direction, and blocking, each unique production culminates in its own fully staged production.

NOTE: All programs take place at the Powerhouse Theatre, Waveny Park, 679 South Avenue, New Canaan, CT

The Jungle Book KIDS
Rising 1st grade to rising 7th grade students

The jungle is jumpin’ in Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS. Adapted from the classic Disney animated film, it features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs such as The Bare Necessities and I Wan’na Be Like You. Follow Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, on their journey through the jungle as they escape the tiger, Shere Khan, encounter the sinister snake Kaa, a herd of elephants, and a giant bear named Baloo. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives, and as Shere Khan returns, the animals work together to restore peace throughout the jungle.
